[23]筆者近十年來多次嘗試，即在多家國際權威的英文刊物上提出一個話題，邀請一批中外學者就此討論，不僅開了引領國外學者討論由中國學者提出的話題之先例，同時也促使一大批中國學者的英文論文得以在國際權威刊物上發表。如筆者應邀為歐洲科學院院刊《歐洲評論》主編的一組針對新冠肺炎疫情在全球蔓延并率先在中國得到遏制的文章："Focus: Confronting the COVID-19 Epidemic and Control: Reports and Reflections from China", European Review, Vol.29 (November 2021), No.6, p. 762–818。該專輯于2020年率先在線發表，引起了強烈反響，最近又在該刊紙質版發表，被認為是中國人文學者為治理新冠肺炎疫情全球蔓延提供的值得借鑒的方案。

Western Centrism and Cultural Relativism in World Literature

Abstract: In today's international comparative literature and literary theory circles, world literature has become a highly contentious frontier theoretical topic. As one of the earliest proponent of this concept, Goethe took the lead in conceptualizing world literature in the Western context. However, for a long time, the field of international comparative literature and world literature has been dominated by Eurocentrism and its later variant Western centrism. After that, due to the rise of the United States as an all-round great power, Eurocentrism evolved into Western centrism. Even in the world literature research in China, Western centrism has played a dominant role for a long time. However, the anti-Western centrism attempt has never stopped, with the participation of comparative literature scholar Fokkema in the West and Lu Xun in China. In the current era of globalization, one of the purposes of discussing world literature in the context of China is to vigorously promote Chinese literature abroad, so as to fundamentally change the pattern of Western centrism in the world literature.
